Touche Amore are about to start recording their new album, 'Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me,' which will be released by Deathwish. The Los Angeles band -- who infuse post-hardcore with hard-bitten, forceful intensity that the genre hasn't seen in a while -- will head east to Kansas to record with Ed Rose, who has worked with the Get Up Kids and Coalesce, at his Black Lodge Recording Studio.

"The title represents change," vocalist Jeremy Bolm told Noisecreep about the lengthy, provocative title. "Realizing there is a long road between optimism and pessimism. Trying to get past all those negative things that weigh you down and have the ability to drown you in hopes to find some sort of comfort within yourself. The road between is very literal for this record, with songs about being away from home and finding happiness within that."

How fitting that Touche Amore are recording away from home and have a couple upcoming live dates to back up that sentiment.
