The Famine’s Jon Richardson Puts His Money on the Steelers in Super Bowl
Jon Richardson of the Famine is watching the Super Bowl unfold in his backyard, as the bassist is from Texas. He acknowledged to Noisecreep that the teams would be "flooding my beautiful silver stadium with differing shades of gold and replacing cowboy hats with foam cheddar wedges.
"But, since everyone seems to be a rival of the Cowboys in some form or fashion, what do you expect? After running numbers through dozens of computers, the analysts and experts have Green Bay favored by two to three points over Pittsburgh, calling them a stronger team. However, I think the Steelers are going to take the game."
He continued, explaining that while both teams are pretty evenly matched, the Steelers have the edge. "Ben Roethlisberger and Aaron Rogers are fairly well-matched going into this game as possibly two of the best QBs in the NFL, excluding the one-man dynasty that is Tom Brady. Both teams play really rough football and have killer defenses. The Steelers will be able to run the ball consistently, but Green Bay won't.
"On account of the Steelers pass rush and monstrous defensive line, Rogers will be forced to through the ball into the open maw of one of a team known for their legendary defense. Trust me, as a Cowboys fan, I should know. The Steelers will shut down Green Bay like they did with the Jets ... I'd put my money on the Steelers. I've been known to be wrong, but who knows? Maybe you'll be able to take some money from those experts!"
