Landmine Marathon Singer Grace Perry Quits, Band Post New Track With Her Replacement
Landmine Marathon singer Grace Perry has quit the group.
The Arizona death metallers have named Krysta Martinez, of Portland group Transient, as Perry's replacement. In addition, the revamped lineup of Landmine Marathon have posted a new version of their 2011 track "Dead Horses" with Martinez handling the vocals. Check it out below the cut.
The members of Landmine Marathon posted the following statement about Perry's departure:
"This summer, Grace decided to leave the band to pursue non-musical endeavors. We are grateful for all of her contributions to Landmine Marathon and wish her nothing but future successes."
Perry co-founded Landmine Marathon in 2004 and sang on all four of the band's albums, including 2011's Gallows. The group performed at this year's inaugural Metallica-curated Orion Music + More festival. Perry hasn't made a formal announcement about her split from the band, but Noisecreep eagerly awaits to hear her future plans.
