Emphatic Bring Back Arena Rock on ‘Bounce’ — Video Premiere
"When it comes down to it, I love songs with huge choruses and I don't think there's anything wrong with that," says Emphatic lead guitarist Justin McCain about his songwriting style. "Growing up, my parents listened to hard rock and Bon Jovi and AC/DC were huge in my home. That's had a huge effect on the way I write music."
Emphatic hail from Omaha, Nebraska. Recently, the group has become one of the more popular rock acts in the Midwest, routinely selling out clubs before they even landed a record deal. "I think people still want to go to a show, forget about the stress in their lives, and sing along with the band. We definitely give them that," says McCain.
McCain isn't kidding. 'Damage,' Emphatic's upcoming debut album for Atlantic Records, is filled with one arena-worthy anthem after another. "It's not like I woke up every day and said to myself, 'I have to write a radio-ready song today,'" says McCain. "The stuff just comes naturally for me." Noisecreep is excited to present the exclusive premiere of the video for 'Bounce,' the propulsive first single off of 'Damage.'

The clip for 'Bounce' matches its song's freewheeling spirit, with enough girls and glitz to fill a classic Poison video. "We had a lot of fun making the video -- maybe a bit too much fun," laughs McCain.
Even though they haven't even released their major label debut yet, Emphatic have already shared stages with everyone from Stone Temple Pilots and Buckcherry to Avenged Sevenfold and Papa Roach. After doing a short club run with Crossfade and Pop Evil, Emphatic will join Alter Bridge, Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry, and Adelitas Way on the Carnival of Madness tour. "This band is all we have," McCain says. "We plan on busting our asses on the road and getting our music to as many people as possible. We're going to take a lot of people by surprise on the Carnival tour."
Produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance), 'Damage' hits stores on July 12th.
