We've heard about a horse with no name and the man with no name, but what happens when a singer wants that name back? Andrew Stockdale, who abandoned the moniker Wolfmother to release his debut solo album 'Keep Moving,' is returning to his roots. According to Alternative Nation, Wolfmother are currently in Los Angeles' Village Recorder studios working on songs for their third album!

Time to take a dive into the 'Open Water,' a brand new, epic and ethereal track from Blessthefall's forthcoming album 'Hollow Bodies,' out Aug. 20. The song is a bit different, as frontman Beau Bokan's wife, Canadian electro-pop singer LIGHTS, contributes her angelic voice to this slow, serpentine track.

On the eve of their annual GWAR-B-Q, which is coming up this weekend, GWAR are unveiling 'Bloodbath,' (listen below) the latest track from 'Battle Maximus.' Their 13th album is due to be released Sept. 17.

Blackened (and largely bearded) extreme metallers Skelentonwitch have shared the track listing, serpentine cover and Oct. 29 release date for their new album 'Serpents Unleashed,' along with offering a free download of 'Burned From Bone.' Ohio's Skeletonwitch were clearly in a generous mood to unveil all this information about the new record.

Swedish art/noise rockers Cult of Luna will drop 'Vertikal II,' a four-track, 30-minute release on Sept. 17 via Density Record. It follows the band's sixth platter 'Vertikal,' which landed in January. The band will also join forces with Katatonia for a fall tour, so there is definitely a swirl of activity in the Cult of Luna camp.

It's a nasty, gnarly slab of metalcore that'll rouse you and shake you from sleep, a daydream or that mid-afternoon "hit the wall" haze that we all inevitably suffer from.

Veteran rock trio Smile Empty Soul have revealed the track list and album art (seen at left) for their new disc, ‘Chemicals’, along with their upcoming tour dates. This will mark the group’s sixth studio album and their first on their own label imprint, Two Disciples Entertainment.

The Misfit and the Runaway -- now that's a vocal match made in heaven. Glenn Danzig has shared his cover of the psych pop track 'Some Velvet Morning,' originally done by Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra, which features an assist from former Runaways lead vocalist Cherie Currie. The track is slated to be featured on Danzig's upcoming covers release.

Fans got their first taste of Nine Inch Nails' 'Copy of A' during a recent performance at the Fuji Rock Festival overseas. But now the studio version of the track has arrived online for fans to check out.

Linkin Park's longevity can partly be attributed to their knack for crafting radio friendly hits, as they've been able to merge the worlds of hip hop and rock into one cohesive mix. Their new song, 'A Light That Never Comes,' follows in that mold, and the single had its premiere at Japan's Summer Sonic festival on Aug. 10.
