Nothing says 'We're back!' like a three-song teaser EP and a co-headlining tour, so that's just what Texas' Sky Eats Airplane

are doing. The group, who've recruited a new singer and drummer among their ranks, will release 'The Sound of Symmetry' on April 13 as a precursor to a full-length which should be recorded this fall. The EP will be available exclusively on the tour, at MerchNow.com and of course, via digital platforms. As if that weren't enough, Sky Eats Airplane will perform new material on the tour, which also features Drop Dead, Gorgeous.

"We decided to do an EP, because we didn't want people to have to wait another six months or more for a full-length album," guitarist Lee Duck told Noisecreep. Duck also said that the membership change has only served to restart the band's engines, saying, "Recording with the new guys was absolutely great. It feels like much more of a writing family now. All of the band members participated in the writing process, as opposed to last album, where it was just a select few writing the majority of the album."

As the band preps to hit the road for a long hail, Duck revealed what he absolutely must pack in his knapsack. "For some people in the band, a Rubik's cube is absolutely essential," he said. "I'm more an electronics guy, so I like to have my PSP to play games and listen to music and I have a hard drive full of movies I like to watch during down time. Those two items are pretty much my life blood."
