Twenty years after their last studio album was released, Nirvana continue to leave a mark on their fans. Now, for a select few, that mark will become permanent.

On Sept 24, fans who purchase the 20th anniversary edition of ‘In Utero’ or the band’s concert DVD ‘Live and Loud’ can receive a free tattoo of the iconic Nirvana smiley face. The offer is limited to three locations: Fingerprints in Long Beach, Calif., Looney Tunes in West Babylon, N.Y., and Silver Platters in Seattle, Wash.

Tattoo artists will be on location at each store for eight hours. The offer will be extended on a first come first serve basis to all fans 21 and over. Sorry, but no explicit body parts will be tattooed.

Those who don’t want to get inked needn’t feel left out. The 20th anniversary reissue offers a bevy of bonus material including remixed, rare, and previously unreleased songs. In 1993, the 'In Utero' album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Album Chart. It spawned the singles 'Heart-Shaped Box,' 'All Apologies' and 'Rape Me.'
