Michael Monroe Gets Down and Dirty on ’78’ — US Video Premiere
Ever since 1979, Michael Monroe has been cranking out his distinct and revered brand of sleazy hard rock. The Finnish vocalist first got the world's attention fronting Hanoi Rocks, a legendary outfit that influenced the likes of Guns N' Roses and Mötley Crüe. After the band broke up in 1985, Monroe embarked on a successful solo career and then reformed Hanoi Rocks in 2002 for another seven year run before splitting up again.
In 2010, Monroe held a press conference in early 2010 where he announced his new solo band that would feature bassist Sammi Yaffa [Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls], guitarists Ginger [the Wildhearts] and Todd Youth [Murphy's Law, D-Generation] alongside drummer Jimmy Clark [Rick Derringer]. Youth would later be replaced by Steve Conte [New York Dolls] and Clark by Karl Rosqvist [ex-The Chelsea Smiles, Danzig]. This lineup of the group convened in Los Angeles later in the year and recorded 'Sensory Overdrive,' Monroe sixth studio album. Noisecreep is thrilled to bring you the American premiere of '78,' the first single from the new record.

Produced by Jack Douglas [Aerosmith, Clutch], 'Sensory Overdrive' is an adrenaline-filled bastard of a record that is must-have for any fan of the aforementioned artists. Even Motörhead kingpin Lemmy makes an appearance on the appropriately titled 'Debauchery as a Fine Art.' This past June, Ginger played his last show with the Michael Monroe band and has since been replaced with guitarist Dregen [Hellacopters, Backyard Babies].
'Sensory Overload' is available now via Spinefarm Records/Universal Music Group Distribution.
