SlayerThe first interview with Slayer bassist/vocalist Tom Araya since he underwent back surgery at the end of January will be taped April 2 on AOL Noisecreep's ''Creep Show' podcast (the program will be recorded live and will be posted April 5).

For the past two months, Araya has been recuperating from his procedure at his home in Texas. On Friday's ''Creep Show' he'll talk about his history with back pain, the procedures he underwent before he decided he needed surgery, his experience going under the knife and his post-surgery recovery.

Joining Araya on the panel will be Noisecreep editor Seth Werkheiser, Revolver senior writer and Noisecreep regular Jon Wiederhorn, Noisecreep lead blogger Amy Sciarretto and Noisecreep news man Chris Harris.

Araya's first performance since undergoing back surgery will take place May 20 on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (the appearance was rescheduled from its original date of Nov. 4). On May 26, Slayer will begin a tour of Europe in Leeds, England that runs through July 7 in Paris. Then on July 23, they'll launch the previously postponed Canadian Carnage and American Carnage tours with Megadeth and Testament in Quebec City, Canada. Dates run through Sept. 4 in Portland, Ore.

Slayer originally had Carnage dates running from Nov. 8, 2009 through Feb. 23, but after playing shows in New Zealand, Australia and Japan in October 2009, Araya was in too much pain to continue.
