David Lee Roth Reveals He Had His Penis Insured by Lloyd’s of London (VIDEO)

There are a lot of crazy stories about David Lee Roth in both Van Halen and classic rock lore, but none are perhaps as insane as the fact that the frontman had his penis insured by Lloyd's of London.

During a live chat with the HuffPost Live, Diamond Dave was asked if the rumor that his body was insured by the famed carrier was true. Always quick with quip, Roth, 58, clarified that it was not his entire body that was covered by an insurance premium, but instead it was "Little Elvis," his pet name for his peen!

"[We were] going out on the first Van Halen tour and this is one of those cases [where you] get out of the way of a good rumor," the singer joked. "Before we were leaving, we had to insure [guitarist] Edward's fingers, since he will be using those a lot on the road, and [drummer] Alex Van Halen's elbows. So I said, 'What about Little Elvis? We're going to be using him a lot, thank you very much,'" Roth recalled.

Perhaps even stranger, though, was the fact that someone took him up on the suggestion. "Somebody sat there with a clipboard and said, 'Got it' and wrote it down," he said.

The singer also spoke about how he did not re-certify his EMT license, since he has this other gig, you know, fronting Van Halen! He explained his history in the medical field, saying "I started right out of high school. It was my first job, I was a porter and a tech in surgery and I worked the night shift out of the emergency room. My dad was a doctor, was a surgeon. Most of my uncles were surgeons."

Via video, Noisecreep reporter Natasha Young also asked DLR if he ever regretted something that he has said, since he is known for being so outspoken and instantly quotable. "The only regret that I have is that I didn't have the Internet," the flamboyant frontman said. "In terms of interviews, romance, music, we didn't have the Internet...I remember having to wait until you got to New York City to catch anything that had been used on a dancefloor...Today, that's 500 channels on satellite and another 500 on your television set and another 500 on your wristwatch."
