South By So What will hold its first ever fall version on Oct. 25 and 26 over at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas. Although not as well known as other more storied fests, South By So What is signified by its diverse lineup and with headliners Gwar, Finch and Sleeping With Sirens that gives you an idea of how diverse it can be.

Gene Hoglan has drummed for more metal bands than would be prudent to list here, but his credits include legendary acts such as Testament, Fear Factory, Death and Dark Angel. Earlier this month, he announced that he’s hitting the road with The Gene Hoglan Experience. Starting this fall, Hoglan will be going out to select locations for an intimate meet-and-greet with metal fans.

Hinder will continue to tour sans vocalist Austin Winkler, who has taken leave from active touring since earlier this summer in order to deal with personal matters. The band will co-headline a trek with '90s alt grunge rockers Candlebox. Saving Abel's Jared Weeks will continue to fill the temporarily vacant vocal slot in Hinder. Clearly, Winkler's situation isn't "hindering" any touring.

Mindset Evolution are releasing their album 'Brave, Bold & Broken' exclusively through Best Buy and digital retail on Aug. 20. It's a huge month for the Peoria, Ill. band, which was formed back in 2005. The release comes on the heels of the album's first single 'Burn It Down,' which is currently available on the iTunes Music Store.

Metal fans will be feelin' it this fall when Sleeping With Sirens embark on a tour in support of their well-received new album 'Feel,' which dropped recently via Rise. The 'Feel This' tour will feature Memphis May Fire, Breathe Carolina, Issues and Our Last Night supporting on different legs, making for an evening of loud, fast, well-coiffed hard rock.

Papa Roach fans are definitely a little concerned as the band has just bowed out of their South American tour, citing vocal issues for frontman Jacoby Shaddix. You may remember that the band missed a good portion of road time last summer when Shaddix was diagnosed with a nodule on his left vocal chord.

Asking Alexandria are hitting the U.S. for a short, compact tour this month as 'From Death to Destiny' lands tomorrow, Aug. 6, and having the band play a few gigs makes an impact with a record on shelves. However, these U.K. metal miscreants will be back in the fall for a full-fledged run, featuring All That Remains, Sevendust, Emmure and For Today on the bill.

It's a new chapter for Rival Sons, as the Long Beach, Calif. based band are saying their goodbyes to bassist Robin Everhart. Dave Beste will serve as the fill in for the group's stateside tour, which begins Aug. 20 in Loveland, Colo.
