Mindset Evolution are releasing their album 'Brave, Bold & Broken' exclusively through Best Buy and digital retail on Aug. 20. It's a huge month for the Peoria, Ill. band, which was formed back in 2005. The release comes on the heels of the album's first single 'Burn It Down,' which is currently available on the iTunes Music Store.

As with any fledgling band, the key is to get one's name out to the masses, and their momentum received a kickstart after they were the winners of 2011's Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival 'Battle of the Bands.' For the competition, the group beat over 5,300 bands to win the honor, which gave them a spot on the Rockstar Enegry Drink Uproar Festival in 2012.

Now comes the real test for Mindset Evolution, as they are currently on the road in support of their album, starting with a stop tonight (Aug. 6) in Buffalo, N.Y. (Tralf). As their moniker suggests, having a healthy and strong frame of mind is important in keeping their music dreams alive. "If you face an obstacle that you can't pass, you have to change your approach, and do something differently," said singer Rob Ulrich. "You have to look at it from another angle, and find a way around it or through it. That's what the name is about. That's what we're about."
