Astral Doors’ ‘Victory’ is ‘Ultimate Metal Song’ for Sports

Astral Doors' bombastic, larger-than-life 'Victory' is the metal world's answer to Queen's legendary 'We Are the Champions.' Just ask vocalist Patrik Johansson.

"'Victory' is the ultimate metal song to play at sports events," Johansson told Noisecreep. "It's Astral Doors' very own 'We Are the Champions.'" But he's not just being boastful. The song exists in two formats and was composed with a purpose. Johansson continued, "Originally it was written in Swedish for our favorite hockey team, Leksands IF. But on 'Testament of Rock,' we give the world the English version."
