Anthrax vocalist Joey Belladonna has confirmed some key pieces of information about the band's upcoming releases, including a live DVD and new material.

Let's start with what's concrete, which is the live DVD. It was shot in South America and is due out by year's end, and could include material from other gigs.

"We just shot a DVD, that is out there for everybody to check out," the vocalist told Rock Overdose. "We have a full concert on this DVD. It’s the show from Chile, South America, and a bunch of others. We are recording some others, quite cool stuff; we hope to have that out by the end of the year."

As for new material? Well, that's not taking shape yet. As of now, it's just some ideas and rudimentary parts.

"We listened to music and ideas amongst each other but we weren’t in a room together so I couldn’t really tell you what to expect at this point cause we haven’t sat down and listened to it," the frontman admitted. "Obviously, it’s going to be something that you’re going to enjoy, I think, with the style we’ve written before, and what we’ve come up with lately, we really have some nice ideas aside, but again, I didn’t hear anything yet, it’s a little early for me to describe anything."

So he's not putting the cart before the horse and offering to much info about it! That's fine. Good things (and more info) come to metalheads who wait.
