The marriage of punk rock and horror films is best exemplified by the long running band the Misfits, and it's great to know the outfit is still cracking the music whip with a full fledged tour. Spearheaded by co-founder Jerry Only, the Misfits are performing all over Europe before hitting North America for even more dates in October.

The 'Dea.D Alive!' tour dates, which run through the fall, are in support of their 2011 disc 'The Devil's Rain,' which is their highest charting album in the band's four-decade career. The group's companion concert effort, 'Dead Alive,' was released in February.

The European leg of their tour takes them to such places as Russia, Austria, the UK and Belgium. After August, the Misfits take a breather in September before hitting the road once again in October. Their U.S. dates start with a performance in Nashua, N.H. (Oct. 6, Evolution) and conclude with a Dec. 13 concert in Pensacola, Fla. (Vinyl Music Hall).

Singer / bassist Jerry Only is the sole member from the original group, an outfit which also consisted of Danzig frontman Glenn Danzig. The current makeup of the band consists of Only, guitarist Dez Cadena, and drummer Eric "Chupacabra" Arce.
