Los Angeles-based hardcore veterans Strife will be heading down to Brazil next week to start recording their fourth studio album. The band has enlisted long time friend, Igor Cavalera (ex-Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy) to play drums on the forthcoming album, which will be Strife's first since 2001's 'Angermeans' record.

The as-yet-titled album is being produced by Terror drummer Nick Jett, and will be recorded at Mix Nova Studios in Brazil, and finished at Blood Tracks Studio and Sunset Lodge in Los Angeles. Producer Matt Hyde (Hatebreed, Slayer) will be handling the mastering.

Strife guitarist Andrew Kline said, "This album is going to be our best release yet... we have been working on pre-production tracks for the last few months, and the songs are amazing. This record is more along the lines of 'In This Defiance,' but with a harder and a little more modern edge. Plus Igor's drumming is really going to take everything to the next level."

A final release date, label, cover art and additional information, will be revealed in the near future.
