Ozzy OsbourneAccording to news reports, Ozzy Osbourne was once diagnosed as being HIV positive. Now, don't read too much into that. Ozzy Osbourne does not have HIV -- and never has. Unfortunately, he was mistakenly diagnosed with the life-threatening disease not so long ago, and looking back on it now, Ozzy says it was "one of the worst days of my life."

"I went to the doctor and had an AIDS test, and he told me it was positive," Osbourne tells the U.K.'s Daily Mirror. The results of the former Black Sabbath frontman's test were wrong, but the diagnosis haunted Osbourne until doctors later clarified it.

He took a second test, and it came back negative. Doctors said the first test returned a positive result because his immune system is in horrific shape after years of drug and alcohol abuse.

But the diagnosis wasn't unthinkable, as Ozzy regularly bedded groupies back during Sabbath's height.

"When I used to f---ing get loaded, I would get myself into all kinds of situations," says Ozzy. "It turned out that, because I was drinking and using drugs so much, my immune system had dropped so that it was a borderline result. When I went back to be tested again it was negative."
