Mushroomhead Vocalist J Mann Returns, Band Announces 20th Anniversary Tour
Mushroomhead will celebrate their 20th anniversary of masked metallic maelstrom by embarking on a fall tour. But even better news is the fact that prodigal son vocalist J Mann, aka Jason Popson, has returned to the fold. See, you can go home again.
"Old school, new school, this is the WHOLE school. Mushroomhead, buckle up kids, I'm back!," wrote the singer in a Facebook post.
J Mann was with the band through their most successful period, handling vocal duties from 1993 to 2004. After splitting in 2004, the vocalist has returned to make guest appearances on occasion. He's also performed and recorded with Pitch Black Forecast, releasing the 'Burning in Water ... Drowning in Flame' EP just last year. He's also got another metal project that's emerged in the last year called Scelestus.
The tour will feature support from One-Eyed Doll, Xfactor1, Ionia and The X-Members. During the upcoming run, J Mann is expected to share vocal duties with fellow original member Jeffrey "Nothing" Hatrix and Waylon Reavis, who joined the group after Mann's exit.
