A photo shoot can be a whole different animal for musicians and it's a trope rife for satirizing. Metallica recently agreed to become the faces of the new Brioni luxury fashion line, but on top of the ads, the band shot a few humorous videos to go along with the photo shoot.

As can be seen in the clips above and below, the band members took some rather outlandish suggestions from a director who didn't quite get Metallica. Watch below as the director offers Robert Trujillo a headbanging alternative, tries to sex up Kirk Hammett's guitar playing and feels James Hetfield should try a more "metal" instrument than guitar.

Metallica's inclusion in the Brioni campaign was suggested as part of a rebranding effort by Brioni's new creative director Justin O'Shea. The band stated, “We are beyond thrilled to have been invited to be the face of Italian luxury menswear powerhouse Brioni as they kick off their first creative campaign under the direction of newly appointed creative director, über cool style star Justin O’Shea.” The guys appear in the black and white ads with stylish tuxes and suits.

Brioni already had a bit of an "in" with the band. O'Shea formerly served as a fashion director for the MyTheresa.com company, which recently had Lars Ulrich photograph his wife Jessica Miller for their latest campaign.

While Metallica are serving as the Brioni models, bigger news in their world is the release of their next studio album. The band has been working on the disc for over a year and James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich both recently stated that the still untitled effort will likely be released this fall. Official album release details have not been announced as of yet.
