Machine Head are looking for a temporary bassist to perform with the band at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival this summer. Longtime bassist Adam Duce left the band earlier this year.

The band is accepting YouTube videos of standalone performances of "This Is the End," "Halo" and "Beautiful Mourning" -- just prospective bassists, singing and playing bass along to the tracks. A camera phone is fine, as long as it's stable.

Applicants are also asked to include a one-to-two minute testimonial about their musical experience, touring, performing history and more.

Those who are interested can upload videos to YouTube and e-mail a link (or links) to MHBassAuditions@gmail.com.

Once the band has narrowed down potential candidates, they will hold in-person tryouts at a to-be-determined location.

Asking Alexandria offer a brief preview of a new song in the trailer for the band's 'Don't Pray for Us' tour, which is viewable below.

Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky showed off a whopping 1 cent royalty check on Instagram. How brilliant is that? The singer joked that it cost more to print and mail the check than the check itself. The band's Until You Heart Stops and Beyond Hypothermia albums on HydraHead remain unfuckwithable classics.

Skillet will release Rise on June 25. It's the band's first concept album revolving around an American teen as he faces adulthood.
