Machine Head and longtime bassist Adam Duce have parted ways. Below is the Head's statement on the matter.

"Machine Head and bassist Adam Duce have parted ways. The split is amicable, and Machine Head would like to wish Adam the best with his current and future endeavors. The band will continue on for the time being as a three-piece and have begun the writing process for their follow-up to 2011's Unto the Locust. A late 2013 release is projected."

Duce co-founded Machine Head along with guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn in 1991. He played on all seven of the group's studio albums.

Megadeth have shared new studio footage of them recording their fourteenth album, Super Collider. The album is due out in June.

Rob Zombie's new single "Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown' is available for your listening pleasure. The horror rocker/movie director's new album Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor is due out April 23.

Slayer's Tom Araya spoke about their new album's writing process, the continued recovery of guitarist Jeff Hanneman from a flesh-eating virus and playing with drummer Jon Dette again after last week's Dave Lombardo drama.

About Hanneman, Araya said, "Jeff's just had a rough time coming back. That's about it. I reach out to him all the time and tell him that everybody misses him. We miss him. I miss him as a band member, because he's such a big focal point in the band. But we're waiting for him to say, 'OK, I'm ready.' He's actually working on material, so that's something we've encouraged him to do. We said, 'Listen, if you're not gonna come out and perform, at least get your ideas together and we can work them out.'" [YouTube]
