Former Deadlock Drummer Tobias Graf Dies at 35
Former Deadlock drummer Tobias Graf has passed away. Graf was a founding member of the German melodic death metal band, and left the group earlier this year. The band's record label Lifeforce issued the following statement:
"Today we come to you with some very sad news. Founding Deadlock member, dear friend and all around great personality Tobias Graf passed away at the age of 35. We can hardly express the sadness in our hearts and we wish his family all possible strength in these dark hours. Farewell Tobi and may you have a safe journey!"
Deadlock formed in 1997 and have released six studio albums. Last month the two-disc compilation, 'The Re-Arrival' was issued, which included older material such as demos along with re-recorded tracks and a few new songs.
The band's last studio album was 2012's 'The Arsonist.' You can watch the video of the song 'The Great Pretender' from that album below. Our condolences to Graf's family and friends.
