Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine is no stranger to controversy, and it seems he's stepped in it again. While discussing the importance of family values, an ostensibly wholesome topic, Mustaine let slip some rather offensive lines concerning African children to LA Weekly.

"I really think that, if the parents aren't going to stick together, they shouldn't make that kind of commitment to life" Mustaine said, harmlessly enough. He then continued, "I watch some of these shows from over in Africa, and you've got starving women with six kids. Well, how about, you know, put a plug in it? It's like, you shouldn't be having children if you can't feed them."

Mustaine also offered his views on the upcoming election: I wouldn't vote for Obama. I didn't vote for him last time, thank God, so I have no responsibility for this disaster that's happening to our country. And watching the primaries with the Republicans, I think probably the classiest guy out of all of them is Rick Santorum." He however has since clarified that his appreciation of Santorum's class does not constitute an outright endorsement.
