Cradle of Filth Cancel Concerts to Work on Next Album
Cradle of Filth's immediate concert itinerary has taken a hit as the group continues to work on their next studio album. In a new posting, the veteran metallers have revealed that four dates will be affected, including shows in Slovakia, Germany, France and Israel.
The band's official announcement, revealed via their social media, can be viewed below:
Felicitations Filthlings, Unfortunately Cradle Of Filth are cancelling their three upcoming shows in Europe (prior to the special London Palladium show), plus the show In Tel Aviv, Israel, due to time restraints concerning writing and pre-production for entering the studio for recording the forthcoming new album. Having played literally all over the world this year, it is unfortunate that keeping the band this busy has forged an ever-decreasing window in which to fit everything in and so it is with some regret that we have to announce the cancellation of these shows. That being said, Tel Aviv will be moved to a slot next year to coincide with COF’s first tour of China.
The headline show at the Entrepot in Bruges, Belgium on November 2ndremains unaffected. Once again sincere apologies for this sudden turn of events, the next thing on our very metal agenda (and the last of a busy year) is the grandiose London Palladium performance on 19th October. The nightmare before All Hallow’s Eve! And brethren. please watch the heavens for a much pleasanter Cradle announcement later this week...
The exact dates affected include the following:
Oct. 15 - Košice, Slovakia @ Collosseum
Oct. 16 - Dresden, Germany @ Reithalle
Oct. 17 - Lyon, France @ Ninkasi Gerland
Oct. 31 - Tel Aviv, Israel @ Barby Club
As stated, they will perform at the Entrepot in Bruges, Belgium on Nov. 2 and do intend to honor their Oct. 19 show at London's Palladium. An announcement on the rescheduling of the Tel Aviv show is expected shortly.
Back in February, Dani Filth revealed that the band would be compiling new music while on tour this year and that it was their hope to be in the studio this fall for a potential August 2020 release.
