Sepultura Reveal Album Title, Artwork + New Song ‘Isolation’ at Rock in Rio
Sepultura know how to pick their spot, choosing their appearance at Brazil's Rock in Rio festival Friday (Oct. 4) to debut their first taste of new music from their next studio album.
Playing in front of a raucous crowd, the band arrived just as the sun was setting, with tribal beats and dark and ominous orchestral tones setting the stage for their entrance. From there, the music transitioned into a feverish fury of double kick drumming and thrashy, high energy metal.
Toward the end of the performance, viewed below, it was revealed that the new song was titled "Isolation," and the band also revealed that their new album was titled Quadra as the album artwork was visible on screen behind the band. Take a look at the performance and the announcement in the video below.
The band spent the last year plus working on their latest album, recording the effort in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren. Though an official release date for Quadra has not been announced, guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed earlier this year that the intent was to release it in February 2020.
