The 2013 Sunset Strip Music Festival got off to a great start naming Linkin Park as headliners for their annual street festival and selecting Joan Jett as this year's honoree. Now fans can embrace more of the lineup as organizers have added a wealth of talent to the bill. AWOLNATION and the reunited hard rock outfit Finch are among the top newly-added draws.

They'll join Linkin Park as well as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Wale, Logic, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh, Asher Roth and Street Drum Corps as part of the street festival event taking place Saturday, Aug. 3 on the famous Sunset Strip.

In addition, three-day event will also feature a number of club shows at such historic venues as the Roxy, the Whisky-a-Go-Go, the Viper Room and more. Orgy, Julien-K, Smile Empty Soul and The Dreaming are among the rockers who will play club shows during the SSMF bash. It should be noted that other acts are still being added to what promises to be a major music weekend.

As for Linkin Park, their appearance at the Sunset Strip Music Festival will be tied to the band's Music for Relief charitable organization, with a portion of the ticket sales for the SSMF going to help those in need. This will be the band's only North American tour date for the rest of the year, so the performance is not to be missed.

"Each year SSMF celebrates the Los Angeles music scene with one-of-a-kind performances on The Sunset Strip. From Fergie performing with Slash in 2010 to Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger taking the stage with Marilyn Manson in 2012, SSMF creates unique moments you won't find anywhere else," noted SSMF co-producer and Roxy owner Nic Adler. "This year's street festival features bands Linkin Park, AWOLNATION, Asher Roth and Street Drum Corps, whose careers began performing in Sunset Strip venues. We look forward to welcoming these artists back as they perform in front of thousands of fans on the music boulevard's largest stage."

The Sunset Strip Music Festival takes place Aug. 1-3 in Los Angeles. Tickets for the event are currently available via the festival's Eventbrite link here.
