Sirius XM Radio announced recently that guitar icon Zakk Wylde, founder of Black Label Society and former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, will host a new weekly sports talk series available to SiriusXM listeners nationwide.

Wylde on Sports - which Wylde will host alongside veteran sports talk personality Ken Thomson - debuted Sept. 4 and airs every Tuesday night (9:00 – 11:00 pm ET) for six weeks on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, SiriusXM's 24/7 fantasy sports channel. SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio airs on channel 87 on XM and channel 210 on Sirius Premier and is also available on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and online at SiriusXM.com.

Well-known as a sports maniac, Wylde recently participated in the annual SiriusXM Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft, held in New York's City's Times Square.

The wild and crazy outspoken axe man grew up in New Jersey and is a lifelong New York Giants fan. He'll take calls about fantasy football, his beloved Giants - nothing will be off limits as he recently told Noisecreep. Wylde remains one of our interviews, because when it comes to shooting from the hip and speaking his mind, there is but one Zakk Wylde.

Okay, Zakk – how do you envision the new show?

Animal House meets George Carlin with a little Larry David sprinkled in and lots of fucking sports! The first week I may pull Randy Johnson in, my pal Vinnie Paul, who I always bust balls with, with be coming on. Forget about it. Gayle Sayers, my fans, the Berserker Nation, this is gonna be sick.

There's a special connection with heavy metal and football, right?

Fuck yeah! Hell yeah! It's all aggressive, tough, in your face – the military loves metal, too. I lot of my buddies who fly missions will tell me they crank up Black Label tunes in their headsets before they annihilate some godforsaken place. I love that. Dropping bombs, cranking metal, and it all gets back to football. So yeah, we'll be talking a ton of football. When I'm in the weight room pumping iron, I have to have ESPN on. But I pretty much have it on all the time anyway. I'm a sports freak – this show will let me just bust out all the sports fucking craziness I want.

Zakk, seriously, how do you see the NFL unfolding this year?

Look, you've got the same basic cast of characters floating around since last year. There's been no crazy and drastic shakeups. How can you root against Tom Brady? I mean, yeah, ROOT AGAINST HIM, but in your head, you know he's gonna get it done. They always keep the core group of guys over there on New England. They just fill in the holes with other super talented guys – it's an amazing recipe for success and longevity. They remind me of how the Niners used to be. I remember when Joe Cool, Mr. Montana went down for a few games. What happens? Steve Young comes in. Are you kidding me? But I still like my Giants. They should not be too far off from where they were last year, either.

You remember your first game?

Yeah. The Giants against Chicago at Giants Stadium. I saw Walter Payton. Larry Csonka playing for the Giants. Amazing day, tons of snow. Giants win by a field goal in overtime! My dad had wanted to leave but we stayed. What a fucking day. I've been to a couple of Super Bowls, too. But that first game with my dad was the best.

Who do you think should play the next halftime at the Super Bowl?

Hmm – good question. I'd say either Van Halen or Guns N' Roses.

Any take on the situation with the New York Jets?

With the quarterbacks? Look, Mark Sanchez is the QB and I think he'll be fine. As far as Tebow, if he gets to play, what do people think? That's he gonna be any different than he was in Denver? You think he's all of a sudden turned into Dan Marino? Nothing for nothing, Sanchez is working his ass off and I think he'll be fine.
