Xerxes Vocalist Braves the Elements in ‘February’ Video

Originally taking shape in Louisville, Ky. back in 2009, Xerxes were initially inspired by the mid-'90s punk scene that was led by groups like Saetia and Orchid. Adding a healthy amount of hardcore bite to their approach, Xerxes is easily one of the more interesting bands bubbling in the American underground today.

Last fall, Xerxes entered the studio with Kevin Ratterman (Coliseum, My Morning Jacket) and the result is 'Our Home Is a Deathbed,' their upcoming debut album. Hitting stores on March 13, the album delivers punch for the fickle punk and hardcore crowds, yet is sonically adventurous enough to pull in some more open-minded indie rock listeners.
