The Dillinger Escape Plan are playing the Heavy Montreal festival next month, but have just announced that they will surround that appearance with a short tour of intimate venues. The trek kicks off Aug. 5 in Toronto.

The band has been working on the follow-up to 2013's One of Us Is the Killer, but no details have been revealed yet as to when the new disc will be released.

Band members have been busy with other projects. Frontman Greg Puciato is in the electronic band The Black Queen, who released their debut album Fever Daydream in January.

Guitarist Ben Weinman is part of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra along with Mastodon‘s Brent Hinds, vocalist William DuVall (Alice in Chains), Dethklok bassist Pete Griffin and former the Mars Volta drummer Thomas Prigden. Their debut album Broken Lines is set for a Sept. 23 release.
