Slipknot may not have an exact timeline for their next studio album, but frontman Corey Taylor recently gave fans some insight of what it might sound like. The vocalist said in a new interview that he feels that the band's 'Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)' and 'Iowa' offer glimpses of what fans can expect. That got us wondering what album you as Slipknot fans would hope the band would pull from for inspiration on their next disc.

In his interview, Taylor stated, "’Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’ is a bit of a peek at what I think the next album will be. It’ll be a cross between ‘Iowa’ and ‘Vol. 3’ in a lot of ways, while also evolving the way we always have.” And given that 'Iowa' and 'Vol. 3' have been two of the group's most successful releases, that has to be a good thing, right?!

But there's a lot that can be said for their other two popular albums. The band's self-titled 1999 effort has that great heavy percussion and a frenetic feel that drew in many fans. Plus, there's also 2008's 'All Hope Is Gone,' which saw the band opening up the musical palette a little bit more with both hard hitting and haunting tracks.

That being said, there's a definite vibe that each album provides and we want to know which Slipknot album you would like to see the band revisit for inspiration as they work toward new music. Vote in our Readers Poll below.
