Crazy Town singer Shifty Shellshock, who was locked in a battle for his life earlier this year when he lapsed into a drug-induced coma in March, has been slapped with three years probation as punishment for his February 2012 arrest.

Binzer, 37, was arrested at a store in February in Los Angeles after engaging in a fight with his girlfriend. An employee called police, who questioned Binzer and found cocaine on his person, according to TMZ. He was swiftly taken into custody and charged with drug possession and battery.

Since he pleaded no contest to both charges in court in yesterday (July 31), Binzer was given the three-year probation term. Additionally, he must stay away from his ex and attend a year of domestic violence counseling.

Binzer has battled drugs publicly and extensively, having appeared on two seasons of Celebrity Rehab and two seasons of Sober House. He hit rock bottom this past spring, when he was comatose and at the time, it was feared he would not emerge from that state.
