Rob Zombie Drops Stars-and-Stripes in ‘We’re an American Band’ Lyric Video

Rob Zombie has dropped the lyric video for his cover of Grand Funk Railroad's 'We're an American Band.' It's just a clip with lyrics, so it's not as blood-spattered or as visual as most of the stuff that the rocker and horror film director does. But it's still entertaining in its simplicity.

Given the song title, there's lots of stars and stripes imagery woven throughout as the words flash against the backdrop of an old fashioned theater stage until the curtain comes down. There are some live shots at the top of the video and what appears to be pictures of the band members' yearbook photos from their youth, as well. Other cool visuals in the video include a custom van and a black cat. Watch it and see what other fun stuff you can find.

Zombie is currently decimating stages as part of this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. 'We're an American Band' appears on his latest album, 'Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor' and has been part of his Mayhem sets this summer.
