It's a new chapter for Rival Sons, as the Long Beach, Calif. based band are saying their goodbyes to bassist Robin Everhart. Dave Beste will serve as the fill in for the group's stateside tour, which begins Aug. 20 in Loveland, Colo.

For Everhart, life on the road eventually took its toll. "After years of intensive touring with Rival Sons, I have come to the conclusion that I am not a road warrior and that the rock 'n' roll lifestyle is not for me," said the bassist. "I will miss playing the music that we made together, and I'm proud of our many accomplishments over the last eight years. As always, thanks to all the fans for their listenership and devotion -- it's been an honor to play for you. Keep on swinging!"

Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday describes the exit as an "amicable split," adding that although they will miss their brother in arms, "everyone is extremely excited and revved up for the next chapter in the Rival Sons' future."

The band have been touring in support of their latest album 'Head Down,' which came out March 19 via Century Media Records. Several of their summer dates includes rock icon Sammy Hagar on the bill. Check out Rival Sons' tour dates below:
