Power of the Riff Concert Series Hits West Coast With Pentagram, Pelican

Venerable extreme metal label Southern Lord Recordings has announced the next batch of shows in the Power of the Riff live concert series. So far, four West Coast shows are on the docket for August, with several more to be announced. Prepare to be deafened and reduced to dust.

The lineup at the Los Angeles show features the A-list of extreme metal. The bill boasts Pentagram, Winter, Pelican, Trap Them, Masakari, Alpinist, Acephalix, All Pigs Must Die, and more. There will also be an additional LA TPOTR show that same weekend, with details to be announced shortly.

TPOTR then travels north to San Francisco for not one but two full nights of auditory mayhem. The first night consists of Winter, Noothgrush, Trap Them, Black Breath, All Pigs Must Die, Acephalix and others hitting the stage at Elbo Room. The following night will host Pentagram, Pelican, Alpinist, Masakari, Early Graves, Baptists, Aeges and more as they storm and pillage The Mezzanine.

The TPOTR West Coast tour arriving in Seattle on August 18th at Neumo's. Winter, Pelican, Noothgrush, All Pigs Must Die, Alpinist, Masakari and Aeges will close out the West Coast leg of the series. An additionall TPOTR event will be scheduled in Seattle that same week, so stay tuned for the details on that show.
