Influential late '90s, early '00s post-hardcore act Planes Mistaken for Stars are reuniting for an East Coast tour this summer. Formed in Peoria, Ill. in 1997, the combo released three studio albums and a slew of singles and EPs before breaking up in 2008.

Planes Mistaken for Stars was the rare act that attracted devotees in the metal, emo, punk and stoner music scenes. The band performed their final concert on February 16, 2008 at the Marquis Theater in Denver. Members of the band went on to projects including Git Some, Bull of Heaven, Hawks and Doves, Ghost Buffalo, and onYou.
