Harvest, who formed back in 1994, were one of the very first metalcore bands. But don't blame them for the watered down, samey-sounding, quiet-loud bands that dominate the landscape today.

Harvest played their last show in 1999. Now, the band is back with a new vinyl 7 inch, 'Years of Defiance. Years of Disgust,' which will be available on August 2nd via Good Fight. The 7 inch will be offered in white and clear pressings and will boast two new songs as well as 'Torture Inhibition,' which is an unreleased track written in 1999. The record will also include 'Soul Burn,' a new version of the previously released song.

If you are not a collector of vinyl, you can indulge your digital fetish via a special version of the seven inch available only via iTunes. It will include a new version of 'Conditions.'

Since the members of the band are spread across the planet, 'Years of Defiance. Years of Disgust' was written and recorded in Minneapolis, Toronto, and San Paulo, Brazil, giving it a global edge.

"We are more than inspired to write the next chapter of Harvest. We will continue to write, record and play as many shows as we can, despite being in three countries, four cities and all very much involved in our families and careers," said vocalist David Walker. "We believe in what we're doing and couldn't be more excited to be playing live again!"

So what exactly brought Harvest out of hibernation? "This world is a f---ing disaster and there are darker days to come, but we hope to fight the negative with our message through empowerment and defiance of all those that seek to define the way we live," Walker said.

The tracklisting is as follows:

'Years of Defiance'

1. Our Legacy
