
Lostprophets Band Members in a ‘State of Shock’ After Singer’s Arrest + More News
The hard rock world is still in shock from yesterday's news that Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins had been charged with child sex offenses.
Watkins has been charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13 and possession/distribution of indecent images of children. He was denied bail after appearing at a magistrates' court in Cardiff Bay yesterday (Dec. 19).
The rest of Lostprophets released the following statement regarding Watkins' arrest:
"Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers."

Revolver and Guitar World have announced Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider as the honoree at 2nd annual Rock & Roll Roast comedy series. The roast will take place at The Grove in Anaheim, California on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 and will air live on AXS TV at Midnight ET/9PM PT. A portion of all proceeds will benefit MusiCares®, a nonprofit organization of The Recording Academy® that provides emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to music people in need.
Roastmaster Penn Jillette, along with last year's honoree Zakk Wylde, Anthrax's Scott Ian, Lita Ford, WWE legend Mick Foley and That Metal Show host Eddie Trunk, as well as comedy and roast veterans Jim Norton, Craig Gass, Jim Florentine and more, will be on hand to skewer Snider.
