Lisa Marx Replaces Kristen Randall in Winds of Plague
Revolver magazine named her one of the sexiest women in metal back in 2006, the same year she was picked as one of Peta2's Top 20 Sexiest Vegetarians. And now, Lisa Marx, the comely former keyboardist for Kittie and Day of Contempt, is the newest member of Winds of Plague.
Marx replaces Kristen Randall, who announced her departure from the symphonic death metallers on Oct. 14. Marx has also done time with Scars of Tomorrow and the Dear and the Departed. She is immersed in "intense rehearsals" for the band's fall tour with Stick to Your Guns, Sleeping Giant, Oceano and Circle of Contempt, a press release reads.
Frontman Johnny Plague commented on the band addition, saying "We just completed an extremely successful Japanese tour with our brothers in Terror and made a few much needed changes within our camp upon returning home." The statement offered no formal explanation for why Randall is no longer in the band, but does seem to imply the decision may not have been Randall's own, as she has indicated to Noisecreep.
"We owe it to our dedicated fans to bring them the best show possible each and every night and the addition of Lisa Marx to our lineup is going to allow just that," Plague added. "This stage setup is going to feature a massive light show, larger than life backdrop, scrims and risers.
"We want to entertain the crowd and bring them a true show so they leave feeling like they got more than their money's worth. The package is solid from top to bottom and we can't wait to annihilate everywhere with some new, never before played material. This is going to be the definitive Winds of Plague show, so don't miss out."
No word yet on whether Marx plans on releasing topless candids online, but we will keep you posted.
