Employing various social media platforms to enhance their musical journey is second nature to Linkin Park, so it's no surprise the bandmates have taken to Facebook to promote their new song 'A Light That Never Comes.' The track will be featured on the free-to-play Facebook game 'LP Recharge,' which debuts Sept. 12.

Set in the near future, 'LP Recharge' centers on a world where all of the world's natural resources has been taken over by an elite group and it's up to players to bring clean, sustainable energy back to the environment to save humanity. A trailer for the game can be seen below. Early registrants who signed up for the game on its official website have received a free download of a clip of the new song.

Fans can unlock the track, which is a collaboration with EDM artist Steve Aoki, when they play 'LP Recharge.' Although the 54-second teaser clip doesn't shed any specific details on 'A Light That Never Comes,' Aoki briefly mentions the challenge of bridging his world with Linkin Park's aesthetic. The rest of the video has the guys bonding and performing in front of thousands. Since everyone is jumping up and down to the song's catchy and propulsive beat, we're assuming everyone is happy with the collaboration.

Linkin Park have also teamed up with Hard Rock for a Signature Series of T-shirts for men and women. A portion of the proceeds will go to Power the World, a campaign created by Linkin Park and their non-profit organization Music for Relief to aid an estimated 1.3 billion people who have no access to electricity. The shirts, available for purchase at select Hard Rock locations as well as the company's official website, feature artwork from Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda.

Meanwhile, other Linkin Park members are still keeping busy between albums. Keyboardist Joseph Hahn directed by movie 'Mall,' which is based on a novel by Eric Bogosian, and vocalist Chester Bennington worked on a Stone Temple Pilots EP that is scheduled to come out this fall.
