L.A. Guns have seen a lot of different members pass through their lineup over the past few decades. Their "classic" and most successful lineup included vocalist Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns. The duo will be teaming up with bassist Johnny Martin and drummer Shane Fitzgibbon (who is in the band Gunzo with Guns) to play some shows this summer and fall under the moniker L.A. Guns' Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns.

Over the years, Lewis and Guns have each formed their own versions of L.A. Guns, but on occasion, they've managed to actually team up to celebrate the band's legacy. Lewis and Guns played together on stage just over a year ago, and in an interview around that same time period, Guns said, "The reality of any type of what Phil and I would call an L.A. Guns 'reunion,' that probably won't ever happen. But there's a good chance that you'll see even possibly new music from Phil and I. Certainly, at some point, as long as we're living, we'll definitely be onstage again at some point together."

Per their Facebook page, the first three shows will be in South America July 7-10, followed by the Hair Nation Rock Fest in Irvine Meadows, Calif. on Sept. 17 and Rock N Skull Fest in Joliet, Ill. on Oct. 27. Lewis will also be busy with numerous L.A. Guns shows. You can see their calendar here.

Guns founded L.A. Guns in 1983. Lewis joined the band in 1987. Their 1988 self-titled debut and 1991's Hollywood Vampires went gold, while 1989's Cocked & Loaded that featured their hit single "The Ballad of Jayne" went platinum.
