Dilana Robichaux, former 'Rock Star: Supernova' contestant and recent L.A. Guns vocalist, has launched a campaign to fund her new album via Kickstarter. Dilana, born in Johannesburg, South Africa, has had quite a rock 'n' roll education in her time. She has performed with Tommy Lee and Mick Mars of Motley Crue; Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction; and Gilby Clarke of Guns N' Roses. She also had a brief stint in the Tracii Guns-approved version of L.A. Guns, which further ups her cool quotient and is enough to make us donate via Kickstarter. Think of it this way – you get to be part of the process and invest in the artist via this program.

"Thanks to Kickstarter, I am now able to reach my fans and friends world wide, to help me make my new record, my way," Dilana told Noisecreep. "I am super excited and beyond thankful for all the donations already. I'll say it again, I have the BEST fans ever and feel like the luckiest girl in the world!"

Anyone else out there plan to donate? There are levels of appreciation that Dilana will show you if you donate. If you donate a certain denomination, you will get thanked in the liner notes. If you donate another specific amount, you get a free digital download of the album week of release and/or you get a spot on the guest list at one of her shows. So helping to fund the album certainly has its rewards.
