Hollywood Vampires Welcome Geezer Butler, Tom Morello, Perry Farrell + More for L.A. Show
The star-studded Hollywood Vampires lineup led by Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp took over The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, Calif. for the first of a two-night stand and delivered a scintillating performance featuring a number of name special guests.
In addition to Cooper, Perry and Depp, the current live lineup of the band features a pair of Guns N' Roses vets -- bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum -- providing the group's rhythm section. The band worked their way through a number of familiar cover songs, most of which appear on their newly released self-titled debut album.
As can be seen in fan shot video above and below, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello sat in for a blistering cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Manic Depression." Special guests also included Perry Farrell, who took lead vocals on Harry Nilsson's "Jump Into the Fire," and pop star Kesha who sang on Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." Kesha, Farrell and Morello all later returned to the stage for the band's medley of "School's Out / Another Brick in the Wall."
The group will return to the Roxy stage tonight for their second performance and are also set to appear at the upcoming Rock in Rio festival in Brazil. Check out more fan-shot footage from the show below.
