The late Jani Lane's final major TV interview, conducted by the hosts of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show,' will air on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 11 PM ET. It's the second episode of the season and was initially slated to air on Oct. 1, but in light of Lane's death on Aug. 11, the episode was bumped up to this weekend.

In a preview clip released by the network, Lane talks about how he wound up with the gig as as frontman of Warrant. "My band broke up, Plain Jane, and Steven, the drummer, and I were considering moving back to Florida," Lane recalled. "And I got a knock on the door there was a note on the door saying, 'We're the guys from Warrant, our singer and drummer quit last night in San Diego. We know you can sing and you're a good frontman. If you can write, you're in the band. So come down to DB Sound [rehearsal studios in Hollywood] tonight.' So I went down and played them 'Down Boys', 'Heaven', and 'Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin' Rich', and they said, 'You're in the band.'"

Lane was found dead in a Woodland Hills, Calif. hotel room two weeks ago. Prescription drugs and alcohol were found at the scene. The cause of death has yet to be determined but toxicology reports are due back in a few weeks.
