Corey Taylor fronts two successful rock bands: Slipknot and Stone Sour. Now, the singer can add "author" to his resume. Taylor will release 'Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good' next month.

"I've been threatening to write a book for a long time, but since every Tom, Dick and Harry writes an autobiography, I didn't want to just do that," Taylor said via a press statement. "My approach to writing is the same as my approach to music: I don't want to do what everybody else is doing."

Taylor is promoting his book in a unique way, as well. Jim Florentine, host of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show,' recently interviewed Taylor about the project and much more. The lengthy interview will be aired in three separate parts, with the premiere airing on Corey's official website July 5 at 5 p.m. EST. The other two parts will air July 12 and 19, respectively.

'Seven Deadly Sins' will be released July 12 via Da Capo Press.
