The fourth and final day was a sad one for Shiprockers, it was a full day at sea as the Norwegian Pearl was on its way back to Miami.  Luckily for fans it was a day packed with major meet-and-greets and explosive performances.

Day three of Shiprocked meant the ship docked on the beautiful private island in the Bahamas. Shiprockers were very familiar with the Bacardi Beach Bar by now which held more meet and greets, this time with Nonpoint, Wilson, Scorpion Child and funny man Jim Breuer.

With a day at sea under their belts, rockers woke up on ShipRocked's Day 2 docked near the Great Stirrup Cay island in the bright and sunny Bahamas. Shiprockers took a smaller boat to the island where they enjoyed white sandy beaches and clear waters as well as meet and greets with some of their favorite artists.

While many people have been battling the storms and the frigid weather that comes with January, thousands of hard rock fans opted for sunnier Miami to set sail on the massive and sold out Norwegian Pearl for Shiprocked 2014.

Japanese rock act Vamps warmed up a snowy New York City as they headlined Roseland Ballroom over the weekend. Support included DJ Sid Wilson and Killcode.

After a 25 years absence, Slayer returned to New York City’s Madison Square Garden, playing The Theater on a frigid Thanksgiving Eve. The packed house of metalheads were clearly thankful to see these metal icons along with future legends Gojira and supporting band 4ARM.

The New York community of Williamsburg maybe overrun by hipsters but over the weekend it belonged to metal and rock fans. Danish rockers Volbeat, the Finnish love metalers of HIM and Massachusetts band All That Remains said farewell to summer with soaring sets. Not only was it the last date of the Rock Allegiance tour but it was also the last concert at Williamsburg Park for the year.

There was plenty of excitement leading up to Metallica's historic performance at the Apollo Theater in New York City's Harlem neighborhood on Sept. 21, 2013. Centered around the simple fact that the theater has a capacity of a little more than 1,500, fans knew that the concert would be more than just another 'Tallica show; it would be an experience like no other.
