Anthony Vincent Covers 10 Songs in the Style of Ozzy Osbourne With Help From Eric ‘ERock’ Calderone
Odds are Enya and Ozzy Osbourne are two artists you've never mentioned in the same breath together, but YouTube sensation Anthony Vincent is about to change that with his latest Ten Second Songs challenge. Vincent has become known for using his powerful pipes to record unique medleys of songs in different song stylings. This time he's flipping the script a bit, performing a variety of songs all in the style of metal great Ozzy Osbourne.
Fans still get to see some range as not all of the tracks fall under the same umbrella. He starts off with some help from fellow YouTube sensation Eric "EROCK" Calderone on guitar giving Christina Aguilera's "Genie in the Bottle" a little "Bark at the Moon" flavor. From there, it's a smooth transition into Toto's "Africa" and arguably the most impressive and cool sounding mix of the bunch taking on the aforementioned Enya song "Only Time."
There are different eras and different flavors of Osbourne's vocal styles, as Vincent and EROCK make their way through Linkin Park's "Numb," No Doubt's "Don't Speak," Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times," The Police's "Every Breath You Take," Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" and Papa Roach's "Last Resort." Finishing out the run, Vincent mimes a deeper, more somber Ozzy vocal as he takes on Frank Sinatra's "My Way."
That last performance is a fitting one, as Vincent reveals at the end of the video that he's concluding his YouTube performances with this Ozzy styles clip. "I want to thank everyone who have supported me over the past years. I'm quitting YouTube. It's been a really good run and this is my send off. That's why I sang 'My Way' last," explained Vincent.
In addition to his Ten Second Songs channel, Vincent also has his own band. Performing with Set the Charge, the group is currently promoting their debut album Sky Goes On. Many thanks to Anthony Vincent for keeping viewers entertained over the years and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. To look back on some of his YouTube work, click here.
