Adaliah, ‘Death’s Counterfeit’ – Exclusive Video Premiere
Get ready for something heavy -- not only in terms of sound but also in terms of message. Adaliah are teaming with Loudwire to exclusively bring you their new video for "Death's Counterfeit."
The Scott Hansen-directed video is a pretty serious clip, offsetting the band's brutal live performance with a narrative about a teen who self-medicates and ends up meeting with dire consequences as his family discovers what he's done.
Guitarist Austin Coupe tells Loudwire,"'Death's Counterfeit' is a song written about substance abuse, specifically prescription medicine. We've lost close friends to the dangers of abuse before, so this is a visual representation of what could go wrong and how it could affect others around you. If you have loved ones that are suffering from depression or addiction, REACH OUT. They could be heading down a path that they can't return from. You could save them."
Musically, the song is heavy to the core, with crushing vocals delivered by Jorge Sotomayor and Tyler Andre against a wall of brutality created by guitarists Austin Coupe and Paul Knott, bassist Ryan Nagle and drummer Tyler Kruckmyer.
If you like what you hear, the song appears on the band's latest release, Shedding Skin. The disc is currently available via iTunes. Look for Adaliah returning to the road in August. See their dates here.
