While Tool are slowly putting together a new album, it isn't only singer Maynard James Keenan who is dabbling with other musical projects. Drummer Danny Carey is also creating music outside of Tool, as Carey's fusion act Volto! are soon to release their debut album, 'Incitare.'

Tool fans know that Danny Carey can basically play anything behind his drum kit. Pairing up with John 'Volto' Ziegler (Pigmy Love Circus) and Lance Morrison (Alanis Morrissette, Don Henley), Volto! began with the most humble of intensions, as the accomplished trio would meet up to play covers at a tiny jazz club in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Having performed together for some time, the power trio wandered into creating original music and Voila! -- it was the birth of Volto!

Tool producer Joe Baressi sat in on the Volto! sessions, recording the album which would become 'Incitare.' Tool guitarist Adam Jones also helped out with the project, teaming up with artist Rick Griffin to create an album cover for 'Incitare.'

The album will become available on July 23, but you can download the new track, 'Grip It,' for free on the band's official website.
