The parents of Morgan Harrington, the 20-year-old Virginia Tech student who vanished from Metallica's Oct. 17 concert, have released a statement, asking that the public continue supplying authorities with tips and clues "so that we can find our daughter."

Harrington, who was last seen wearing a Pantera shirt and a black mini-skirt, attended the concert with friends, but got separated from them when, after using the bathroom, the blue-eyed blonde wound up outside the venue, which has a no re-entry policy. Her case has attracted national attention, and a reward of $150,000 is being offered for information leading to the safe return or information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Harrington's disappearance.

"We sincerely thank the Virginia State Police Department, University of Virginia Police Department, members of Metallica, and the many people who have shown their support in this difficult time," the Harringtons say in their statement. "We are doing everything in our power to bring Morgan home. We appreciate your prayers and ask that you continue to share any information you can with law enforcement."

Meanwhile, investigators were following up on new leads Thursday, after providing a detailed timeline of the events leading up to her disappearance. Police believe she was last seen that night at around 9:30 PM on a bridge near the venue. A state police spokesperson told reporters that news stories about the timeline generated several new leads and tips. Beyond that, she had nothing new to report.

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett recently commented on Harrington's disappearance, saying, "There's been a reward put out by the family and we decided to contribute to that reward, 'cause we would like to see -- as parents and just of our own good nature -- we would like to see her found and reunited with her family. It's a very sad thing to hear about. We're just trying to do what we can to help her and help her family out. It's a pretty intense, screwed up thing that's happened, and I really hope that she's found and that she's OK."
