X Japan Reveal ‘We Are X’ Soundtrack Details
X Japan have one of the most dedicated worldwide fanbases with an exceptionally strong following in their native Japan. Revered as one of metal's must-see live acts, their career spans more than three decades (with some breaks in between) and their story has been told across the critically-acclaimed We Are X documentary. Now the soundtrack details have just come to light.
The soundtrack features 14 tracks culled from studio recordings, live versions from The Last Live, X Japan Returns and Dahlia Tour Final as well as unplugged and acoustic performances of cuts like "La Venus" and "Without You," the latter being a soundtrack exclusive. Two additional songs will also be on the Japanese version of the release. Check out the track listing below.
Pre-orders for the We Are X soundtrack can be placed at Amazon. The release will arrive on March 3 through Sony Music's Legacy Recordings. The film itself will arrive on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD through Magnolia Home Entertainment under the Magnet label.
After premiering at the Sundance Film Festival and the SXSW Film Festival last year, We Are X was screened in theaters around the United States. The flick will be shown in London theaters in March with additional screenings to follow in the United Kingdom. X Japan will also be playing the SSE Arena, Wembley in London on March 4, which will be the band's first 2017 performance.
